If it is warmer than where you live and you don't really need to swim in the ocean, sure, why not??

The pool is heated and the February Florida sun is much warmer than the CT one! Relax & enjoy!

One thing you can count on, you will not be shoveling snow :cool1:

We have gone to WDW in January and have enjoyed swimming in the pool. You just never know.

You're not nuts. I would do the same.

Don't think you are nuts, have a great vacation.

www.wunderground.com let's you look at historical daily highs and lows

February 5, 2004 -- Milford, CT High 36 Low 23

Vero Beach, FL High 80 Low 69

I think you're nuts if you don't go!

Thanks all. For some reason I thought the weather would be a lot cooler.

I live in florida about 2 hrs north of VB, after 15 years of winters in florida there is no where I would rather spend winters. It might not be warm for shorts, but a light jacket isn't bad. No snow and all the trees have leaves, enjoy.

You're not guaranteed 80's but you have a better chance of getting them in Vero than you do here in CT. Vero is also a little warmer than Orlando since it's the start of the tropical area of Florida with the Gulfstream just offshore. Even the water in Vero doesn't get freezing, freezing. I think it bottoms out in the 60's. February-March are the prime seasons for Vero. You'll find a lot of Fairfield County folk, especially from New Canaan and Darien, have winter homes in Vero.

I certainly wouldn't want to see you worry about this, so why don't you just go ahead and put the reservation in my name and I'll get back to you as to whether you are nuts or not!! :rotfl2:
