Obiously this was a great way for me to take a few days off without using vacation time at work...

but what can we expect? We are mainly going to play in the waterparks, and taking advantage of the early entrance hour to secure our chairs for the day. We plan to stay in the waterpark for most of the day, back to the hotel to clean up, then over to a resort for a nice dinner each night. One day we'll be park-hopping between MGM (Sci-fi lunch) in the morning and Epcot (Le Cellier dinner) in the afternoon.

Have you been there over a holiday weekend before? Were the crowds insane or just somewhat annoying? I need to mentally prepare...

I'm interested to see what others say too. I talked to our hotel the other week (Dolphin) and was told that both the Swan & Dolphin were completely booked for that week and I read somewhere else that some of the All Stars were booked. I'm hoping it's not too crazy busy!

I do know that there will be a college bookstore managers meeting at the Swan or Dolphin during that time, a friend of mine is going. That will have a great number of rooms booked, I think there will be 1500 of them. But they do not have much time for the pool or the parks it is mostly business for them. I think there will be crowds but nothing to bad. You just have to have a plan and work your plan.

We've been during Memorial Day weekend and though is was crowded it wasn't unbearable at all. I think that if you stick with a basic touringplan of getting to parks when they open and leaving mid-day for resort time, you will have a lovely and relaxing trip. This worked for us well during our M-Day trip.

Also, with the new EMH days/nights, try to hit the park that just had EMH the night before - it will most likely be the least crowded. :)

Have fun!!

It's pretty crazy that week. That was the week we always went when DD was younger. But the crowds weren't my biggest concern - we just always had tons of rain - but anyone here who "knows" me knows that I always get constant rain when I go. :rotfl:

if there is really a crowd, it'll be at one of the main parks, mostly locals come on memorial day. i don't think that it'll be crowded at the water parks. have fun!
