Are we allowed to bring food into shows?

What shows at Walt Disney World can you bring food into to eat/drink during the show?

Generally not. They usually have a CM stationed right at the entrance that advises you to finish whatever you have and throw it in the trash before you enter the theater.

But I feel like the Tiki Room has different rule sometimes? I have taken a dole whip in there.....though I usually eat it quite quickly.....

I could not or would not want to imagine if food was allowed to be brought into shows, it would be such a mess and the individual shows are not staffed to clean up after everyone before the next show.

By all means, bring a turkey leg into the show featuring birds of prey in free flight. Also, be sure to have it in your hand when you're frantically waving to your late arriving friends in an effort to get them to notice where you're sitting.

I believe you actually can take food into Feathered Friends in Flight. That is also true for Indy, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasmic, unless things have changed.
