We are traveling to Universal and IOA for the first time this September. (We have done Disney, Sea World and Busch the previous 2 years) ... I am wondering if we wait and buy our tickets at the Universal ticket window will we receive plastic hotel style access cards? Or just tickets printed on paper (E-Ticket style).

This sounds like a silly question but our daughter who just turned 7 likes collecting hotel keys and park tickets when we travel. Well when we did Sea World and Busch we received E-Tickets and she was VERY disappointed < LOL >

Any information you can provide would be appreciated !!

Thanks for a new member and first time poster :)

There are no plastic park tickets anymore. If you buy tickets at the park or get them from the kiosk they are printed on a heavy paper but are credit card sized.

:welcome: to the boards!

Unfortunately, I think they are just hard-paper tickets. I have APs and they are only paper tickets. So if you get credit card style ones, I'll be mad! ;)

Wow Thanks for the quick replies.

Ahhhhhh she will be upset but I think seeing the parks will cheer her up :)

She loved the ones we received when we stayed on resort at Disney 3 years ago and last year we went to Disney again and recieved new ones so she added them to her collection.

I guess I will just buy online then ... Just trying to be a good Dad and make her happy even if it meant a little line up there at the park to get the tix

Thanks again !!

You'd have to stay onsite and get room keys. Every room key has your name on it. Wouldn't that be special.;)

If you buy online and choose to pick up at the will call kiosk you can still get "hard" copy tickets. They're not hard plastic but rather very strong paper tickets much like the ones I get at the booths at disney.

Ive heard someone else say you can also exchange your printed out copies for an actual ticket at guest services.

Like damo said if you stay onsite you also get a room key with her name on it

Great ... I will try the Will Call Kiosk idea .... We looked staying on site but the rooms are too expensive for what we get currently.

We have stayed at the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa... We get a 3 bedroom condo style place and a Mini van rental from Expedia for around $1500 Canadian for 10 days. (We are 3 adults and 2 kids so need a bigger place).

Thanks for the fast replies and great suggestions. Glad I found this forum site !!!
