Are they still doing the ECV entrance?

We've often been directed to the ecv line with our stroller on crowded days. I think they also use it to streamline traffic through the turnstiles. If the cms don't have to switch back and forth to open the middle gate, it would make them a wee bit faster. We asked a cm at the ecv line of strollers were always welcome in that line or if it was just on crowded days. He said strollers are always welcome. We always eyeball it and it the line is really short, hop in. We were there kind of recently and used it on the far right to get in. I can't remember if we went before or after the other people saw it in the center. We're planning on going today or tomorrow. I'll keep any eye out.

Would you please let us know if they require you to use the special line with your daughter's manual wheelchair? We will be there in December. Thanks!

We are just back from 6 days in the park. A couple of times we used the ECV line because it was shorter. Another time a CM suggested we use that line, but we opted to stay in the line we were already in. In short, we were able to use any line.

I am at the parks now and today went to DCA and DL with a scooter and did not have to use any special line!

Thank you!!

There were issues with CMs getting injured by ECV users coming through the gates too fast/wildly. I've witnesed ECV users slam through the gate that was not fully closed between transactions, with the gate hitting a CM.

When they first started this ECV line, only ECV users and their family could use it. Now anyone can use it (they haven't been limiting it) and I love getting in line behind the family trying to come in who only have handstamps, then they have to get a lead to explain they need tickets also, so they rummage through backpacks/purses/etc.... while I can't change turnstiles like I could have prior to the new ECV gate. Don't come in with me, it ALWAYS happens when I am in line...

Frustrating! I can just picture a MM and not actually getting through the gate for 10-15 minutes. I may just meet up with DD and mom when I make it through if this is still happening.

I'm glad to hear ECVs have options again. :thumbsup2

My pleasure. By the way, I am very impressed with how DLR handles wheelchair occupants.

They have always done a great job with our son. Glad you had a good experience, too!
