Are they still doing the ECV entrance?

When we were at Disneyland in March they had an ECV only entrance to the right of all the standard entrances. Do you know if they still have it? If you haven't seen it, maybe you have seen the signage for people on ECV's to enter this way and have an arrow.

This was very convenient for us when we did our Spring Break trip. I was just curious if they still have it and will have it for our Christmas Trip.

They still had it on 10/19, the last day of our visit. But its not on the right anymore, its in the middle.

If there are a lot of people in this line, it can take longer than other lines. That happened to us a couple times with my Mom, who was using the scooter.

Is it in the middle near the big gate they use when the park is closed? I will keep in mind the long line tip, thanks. Now that it is in the middle it is probably used more. We always come from the right when we go in, so it was easy for us that way. Glad to see they are keeping that up.

I think it is the big gate they use when the park is closed; right smack dab in the middle.

There are CM's that will direct you to that gate even if you want to go in a regular one. Not real sure why. Strollers can go in any line so its not simply a "wheeled vehicle" thing.

Anyone know if you can use the ECV line with a 4 day hopper (since that too is now a separate cue)? I assume the ECV line accommodates any type or entry ticket, but you never know.

Good question Anne, I can't answer that for you. I will have an annual pass. Hopefully someone will pop in who knows that answer.

I am in a chair/scooter. Do you know if my family will be able to use the handicap line with me, or will we need to separate?

I'm bumping this thread up to see if anyone knows the answer to whether you can go in the ECV line if you have 4 or 5 day hoppers? I want to be sure we don't waste time in the wrong line. Thanks!

When I was there on Monday, it looked to me like anyone in an ECV was being directed to that line, regardless of type of ticket. They scan passes just like tickets, so I don't see why not.

Yes, they still have it. The issue for me is it is usually longer than the regular entrances. My kids always use on of the other gates, and we just meet up on Main St. I'm usually 3-5 mins behind them.

That's a bummer! I wonder why they have a different gate. Is it so walking guests can get in faster? I'm not judging, just curious about the thought process that went into this decision.

There were issues with CMs getting injured by ECV users coming through the gates too fast/wildly. I've witnesed ECV users slam through the gate that was not fully closed between transactions, with the gate hitting a CM.

When they first started this ECV line, only ECV users and their family could use it. Now anyone can use it (they haven't been limiting it) and I love getting in line behind the family trying to come in who only have handstamps, then they have to get a lead to explain they need tickets also, so they rummage through backpacks/purses/etc.... while I can't change turnstiles like I could have prior to the new ECV gate. Don't come in with me, it ALWAYS happens when I am in line...

Do you know if it is ECV only or do manual wheelchairs have to use it, too?

Would you please let us know if they require you to use the special line with your daughter's manual wheelchair? We will be there in December. Thanks!

I'll try to remember.
