Are They Open?

We are scheduled to go to Universal from August 8-15. Does anyone know if Monster's Cafe and Green Eggs and Ham will be open? It's been closed the last few years but this will be the first time we went in August.

Green eggs and Ham was open when we were there the beginning of June. Monsters Cafe wasn't open.

Thanks damo. Neither has been open the last few times my family and I have went. My kids and I are really hoping Monster's Cafe is open. It's really disappointing when we get there and find them closed again. It always puzzles me why a place like that would remain closed to the public most of the year.

Officially...both restaurants are open seasonally. I think with the extra crowds at IOA, GE & H will be open more often than not. Monsters Cafe on the other hand has only been open during heavy crowd levels like Christmas week and Spring Break as well as hard ticket events like Rock The Universe and HHN. It's also open during Mardi Gras but I doubt Monsters Cafe will be open during your visit.

Thanks MetroWest. Any idea why they only keep Monster's Cafe open during those times? It always seemed to do well whenever we visited and my wife and I liked the food there as well. My kids and I loved the Classic Monster collectibles and movies displayed inside.

I guess it's all about saving money and there are other places that sell the same type of food...like Mel's and Louie's. Because of the location they open it when crowds are going to be hanging around that area like Mardi Gras and of course during HHN.

They are both currently open, so I imagine as long as the crowds are up, they will keep them open.
