Are these rides too intense for a 5 yr. old?

I have only been on BTMR, and I just can't remember if a 5 year old could manage it. In addition, please let me know if Test Track and Slash Mountain would be too much as well. My DD doesn't get freaked out- she's quite daring and brave- but I don't want to overdo it. She fits the height requirements for all three (she's a tall one) but I don't want to make a mistake and have her become terrified because I misjudged. Please advise- thanks! princess:

If you've ever driven down a dirt road, your 5 yo would be just fine on Test Track. BTMRR is no rougher or even much faster than the barnstormer, just longer and a bit louder (those bells in the cave, if your child doesn't like loud noises) and Splash I can't see being a problem as long as you let them know that yep, there is a drop, it is over quick, and there is some darker parts (but not pitch black like POTC). If you could, start with TT as a test, then BTMRR, and then Splash, would be my choice for order of intenstity and freak factor.

Good luck! :D

My 3 yr old Grand Daughter rode this multiple times this March and loved it. She just barely made the height. She also enjoyed TT and Splash Mtn., didn't measure up for Dino. She didn't care for Tot though. This question is so subjective as to be meaningless. I've seen 6 yr olds freak out 'riding' those lame Hydrolator elevators in Living Seas.

I agree with all of the above. My 5 year old son last year, not the bravest knight at the round table, did VERY well on Test Track, BTMRR, and Splash. Same with Dinosaur!

my very tall, very brave DD rode ToT, splash and BTMRR all when she was 3, and loved them all, and RnR at age 5.

Her best friend, however, would ride none of them at age 10.

My son rode those a 4 and enjoyed them, but it is a matter of the kid. I would say give it a try.

My DD's ride all of those. I think they were 4 when they were tall enough.

Okay, we'll give 'em all a try! Thanks for the quick feedback! princess:

DD6 rode BTMRR with no problem and liked SM except for the part where it is dark and you go down that small dip. If your daughter doesn't scare easily she won't have any problems. As for test track there really isn't much too it. No different than riding down the highway in a convertable.
