Are there usually discounts in December?

Dec 13 was the end date for the pin code discount I received this year. I believe it has been a similar time for the past two years for any of the discount deals....mid dec-new years is high season there...then it goes back down to value sometime after January 1....

yes i get discounts almost every year for up till around the 19th after that its much harder to find one...

I'm defintiely interested in December discounts, too... we're looking at going in the first part of the month (before the holiday season rates kick in).

Thanks for moving my thread! I'm new and wasn't sure where to go! As for my original post I stated that we're planning on going November 30th thru December 6th. We've got the rack rates at the AKL with a Savannah View and the dining plan. We're going to book it at this rate and hope to get a discount of some sort later.

Now that I've found this section my question is HOW the heck do you get lucky enough to get a 40% code!

Last year I had the 40% off code from 19th to 27th Dec at SSR. The year before 19th to 26th Dec 30% off AP Rate at FW. Also got the value rate for the whole stay. Disney appears to have stopped this now so unfortunately I do not think it will be affordable to stay at a DVC resort as they want over $7000 for the same package I paid $2900 for last year. We go for 3 weeks every December and spend the last week at a Disney resort, however with no discounts we will just stay at Bonnet Creek the whole time. I am sure it wil still be great.

My wife and I have both registered for all of the Disney mailing lists; hopefully, we can score a discount for the first two weeks in December (value season anyway). I can understand why they won't send out discounts for what will be their busiest time, anyway... but here's to some crossed fingers that we'll get a "quiet time" discount.
