My DD4 is a super huge Tinkerbell fan and would love to meet her. Is Tink around anywhere??

Thanks bunches!

Sadly, she isn't.

I read that she is considered too tiny to be a meetable character, though I read she may be a character at one of the non-USA Disney parks. I know she does appear at WDW near the beginning of the fireworks - she flies down from the Castle to a spot near Tomorrowland (I think). But unless you are real close it's hard to see her. I am not 100% sure if she still does this since Wishes started.

So, as of now, no Tink! :(

Yes, she is part of the Wishes fireworks, but no, not for a meet & greet...next best thing is to stop into Tinkerbell's Treasures (little shop in Fantasyland) FIRST thing in the am and ask if anyone has woken Tinkerbell yet, If you are lucky (and EARLY!), your daughter will get to wake her up (tap or wave a wand over a box and out flies a bunch of twinkling lights that continue to swirl around the shop...)

We've never done it, but we tried a few times this trip -- no luck!

Hope that helps - and wishing you a little pixie dust that you will get lucky and a get a chance to do this. Sounds like fun!

I didnt think so, but when I saw her on top of a parade float in the Christmas parade (on tv) I thought the 'size' thing had been lifted..... She pouts about not meeting Tink all the time... Maddie gets to meet Ariel and Aurora, how come I never get to meet Tink! :::: insert big pout here ::::::

I saw that, too, but it was the Disneyland parade, not the Walt Disney World portion of the parade. Maybe that's the difference.

December 2003, we "saw" Tinkerbell. We saw Peter Pan outside the MK running around and he was carrying what looked like a lantern. Inside it was a light that was "flying" around. It was Tinkerbell.

Other than that, I think seeing her at the beginning of Wishes is pretty spectacular. I know it's not the same as with other characters, though!

I don't understand the size thing as Flik (the ant from Bug's Life) has got to be smaller than Tinkerbell, yet his is out for meet & greets.

I wanna meet Tink! :earboy2:

Maybe the too-short of a skirt thing is the actual reason there is no Tink for meet and greet. After all, she's all legs.

Not exactly a meet-and-greet... But if you go into Tink's shop near the castle you'll see a dresser with a mirror that lights up every once in a while. There's a key-hole that you can look into, and if you wait long enough you can "see" Tink for a brief second sitting on the spool of thread. When that happens the pixie-dust on the mirror lights up. DH and I had a great time with this last time, we "visited" her a few times and liked telling some little girls that she was in there, when they saw her it was very cute. HTH:)

When we went 2 years ago my DD wanted to see Tink. We saw Wendy in front of Main Street Town Hall and my DD asked where Tink was and Wendy said she is very busy but she would see if she could find her. She took my DD's autograph book and ran inside of Town Hall for a few minutes. When she came out she said that Tink couldn't come out, but she did sign DD's autograph book. That made it even more magical for my DD.

After seeing the Christmas parade I too was hoping that maybe she'd become a character for meet and greets.

Any update on Tinkerbell for meet and greet?

I wish!!!!
I know it's a pipe dream... but I still wish. My youngest loves Tinkerbell! She's second to her only to Cinderella... she was dressed as Tinkerbell for last Halloween.

I don't think the issue is Tinkerbell's size persa but her size in relationship to the other characters. She's just a tiny twinkling bit of light. Tiny enough to fit in a lantern that can be carried around by Peter Pan. If you look at the Fab Five they are all in proportion to one another. I have always wondered about the mice in Cinderella. They look so weird when they are along with the rest of the cast. I like the idea that Tinkerbell is not a meet and great sort of character. She's a ferry. Only to be seen in glimpses. Sighting her is a magical surprise.

My friend was a CM and she said you can't meet her because it would "ruin the illusion." ::MickeyMo
