I have been reading my 2011 UO book and trying to plan out my days at the parks! Based on the advice in the book we are going to be bringing a change of clothes for everyone so we can enjoy the water rides at some point during the day. But I have also read that we won't be able to bring any bags on FJ--which is where we are headed first! I'm wondering if there are lockers we can use at the front of the park. I would like to put the extra things away before we even get into the park so that we don't waste any time at the lockers at HP. Is this doable? Or is it even necessary? I am just trying to come up with the best way to move quickly to HP!! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!! :goodvibes

There are lockers at the front. I think they cost 15 bucks a day. The lockers by FJ are free up to the wait time listed. I was there opening weekend and used the free lockers without a huge hassle. Just smile and find the shortest locker line. Also many people sent one person to get in the FJ castle line and let another get the locker situation sorted out. If the line at FJ is really long then keep a small water and your camera with you. If you use the lockers at the front you'll have to walk all the way back to get to your things. FJ, Hulk, Mummy, MIB and any other ride that doesn't allow bags also won't allow water bottles etc. Unless something has changed JP, dudley water rides have free lockers right by the entrance so you can stow your stuff.

Hope that helps...:wizard:

I would also suggest taking as little as possible to the parks or wear cargo shorts/pants so you can stick stuff in the pockets and not have to fool with the lockers at all. I know it's hard to leave things but you might want to think about it.

Good suggestion...I did that the first day but after butterbeers, shopping and the like I had too much stuff and had to use the free lockers and it wasn't that big of a deal. I still wore cargo shorts everyday though :)

The lockers at Islands of Advneture are $8 a day at the front of the park. The ones at the rides are $2 an hour but are free while you ride Hulk, Dueling Dragons and Forbidden Journey. After your ride time, you will be charged $2 an hour. I would suggest using the ones at the front of the park. They are cheaper and you can open and close them as often as you want during the day. If you use the ones at the ride, the locker rental ends when you open the locker.
