My husband and I plan on hanging out on the verandah while our children fall asleep at night. We plan on having a drink and maybe the pie of the day and bring our books out there.

Is there a light on the Verandah or should I plan on packing our rechargable lanterns from the deck at home?

OK - now I am getting information greedy.

What type of lights - are they blinding? Do you control them with a switch from the cabin?

They are deck lights on the side walls a couple of feet off the ground. I don't think they would be bright enough to read by.

I have no problem reading by the verandah lights, but my husband swears I have cat eyes.

I enjoyed reading by the verandah lights when everyone else was asleep as well. Of course, I was nodding off myself as I relaxed on the verandah with a good book and the sound of the ocean rushing by!

And to answer your other question: Yes, there is a switch inside the cabin next to the sliding glass doors that turn the lights on and off :)
