This will be our first time to stay there.......just 13 more days!!!! :cool1:

I would really like to NOT pack a hair dryer, if I can avoid it (need to save room for all of those souvenirs!). Each resort review I read lists coffeemakers and irons in the rooms, but there are no hair dryers listed. I guess I assumed that they would be in the deluxe resorts, but I know where assuming gets me. Don't want to spend my entire time at Disney with hair "au naturel". :earseek:

TIA for any responses!

Yes, there are hairdryers in each room.

Yes there are hairdryers- but they really don't work very well. We called it the Floobie ( old tv-mercial where you could cut your own hair with something that looked like a hairdryer- this looked like that). There was one setting ( that we could find) and it wasn't high. It took forever to dry just one section of my hair.

I agree with hedwig - the hair dryers are very low power. It took me 2-3 times as long to dry my hair with the ones they provide. I have a small, folding travel dryer that I always bring with me, and it is comparable to the big one I use at home.

If you have short hair, it may not be a problem. Mine is shoulder length, and fairly thick, so the room dryer just did not do the job.

We where at YC at the end of August. Two days in they where changing hair dryers in the rooms. The new one works great. It has power and heat!
