I think I am starting to get a little paranoid about the "what if's" of bringing our twins to WDW! There is no turning back now though since we announced the trip to our DS (7) Christmas morning.

So, this evvening I am thinking about shows like the Lion King and Carousel of Progress. If we start to have a meltdown (a baby that is) can we exit so we don't disturb others??? Thanks:)

Yes, you can always leave a show early if someone is uncomfortable (or making others uncomfortable ;) ). I unfortunately had to do that once during Festival of the Lion King, which is one of my favorites!

While we were down there w/ DD6mo I would always look for an exit for just that reason. I think most of the time I always found one. The one time I couldn't or wasn't sure about was COP. The CM leaves before the show starts and with the theatre moving I wasn't sure if I could get out or not, but it never became a problem. Make sure that you try to be the first into a row for the 3D shows that way the exits will be right there and you won't have to crawl over anyone.

You cannot leave COP during the show unless they stop the show, because of the rotation of the theatre. You also cannot leave Ellen's Energy Adventure at Epcot; different reason, but the same rule. (Yes, it is a ride, but since it is SO long, people sometimes forget that and try to bail during the parts where the cars are stopped.)

Best thing to do is to carry several easy-to-get-at distractions, and also a small flashlight or glowstick for those times when little ones are afraid of the dark.

I was worried about this when we went last JAN with our 2 1/2 y/o twins. One of them cried for several of the 3-D movies. I made sure when I 1st went into the theater I found a CM and asked where I could exit if he cried. They were always really helpful and the "heads up" I gave them meant they were ready when I had to get up. I always sat towards the back on the end, too. They usually led me out with a low glowing flashlight, then I would wait outside on a bench for dh and my other son---sometimes we would grab a mickey ice cream bar, too! :cloud9:

I would say ask the CMs and notify them that you may have a problem. I think would be the best action. It makes you a very consertate person for worring about this! Your one heck of a mom.

I want to thank all of you for your tips and experiences:) Dh and I may just have to take turns on COP and Ellen's ride.
