Are there ever discounts?

First off...I hope everyone is safe...both at WDW and cruising. I've been reading the updates on CCay...hope they are able to repair quickly!!
I am HOPING to plan my 1st Disney cruise with my kids the 3rd week of Feb...are there every any discounts offered? What is the best way to know I'm getting the best deal possible??

To feel comfortable about getting a great deal, there are a couple of things you need to know:

1. Book early. The biggest discount of all may be the early booking savings. The closer you get to the sail date, the higher the price is going to be.

2. Check with the DCL web site first to get the base price and then check with multiple travel agents. You will see that people on here have got there best deals at multiple places, depending on when they were sailing and the cabin category. Personally, I checked with about 5 TAs before I booked our cruise.

Then, keep reading the boards for little secrets and look forward to your sailing date!

3rd week of February? That would be President's Week when all the world (well, at least those aged 5 to 18) are on vacation. You'll be hard pressed to find discounts for that week.

That being said, it would have been cheaper (hmmm, maybe LESS EXPENSIVE is a more accurate term) for us to cruise during our school'a April vacation instead of August.

It'll actually be the latter of the 2nd week..I'm checking on the departure date of 2/17....and spend the prior days atWDW.

As soon as I have my deposit money in hand...I'll check around a bunch...was just looking for any tips anyone had When I checked thru Disney...all 4 of us was about 3000 for the 3day

BTW...TiggerKing...I just noticed..your my neighbor!! I'm in Locust Grove!!

Another question I meant to ask while reading around....will there be plenty for my 4 yr old to do? I'm sure my 9 yr old will have a ball...but don't want the little one left out of anything!!
