Are there dedicated 1 bedrooms at BWV?

We traded points with a friend and he booked our next trip "home" for BWV in August.

We are staying in a 1 bedroom this year. Does BWV offer any dedicated 1 bedrooms, or are they all lockoffs?

Just wondered. If they are offered, I will call and add a request to my reservation.

Yes, BWV has 97 dedicated Studios and 130 dedicated 1BR . There are no dedicated 2BR villas.

We stated in one a couple of years ago. It was at the end of the hallway and had an extra window in the living room. It was actually my favorite of all the BWV rooms we've stayed in. It had a great view of the canal to MGM.

I've stayed in a 1 bedroom at BWV 6 times and all 6 times it was dedicated. They have been located all over the resort. Once over the quiet pool, three times facing the front driveway (standard view), once over the boardwalk, once facing the Swan/Dolphin at the very end of the hall. My alltime favorite was 3123, which is on the corner above the pond facing the front driveway. It's an extra large room.

I don't believe it is a request, they actually reserve them. That is what I was told when I tried to request it. They book the dedicateds first, then they start splitting up the lockoff 2 bedrooms. 5 of my 6 reservations were right at 11 months, the 6th was right at 7 months, which explains why I got dedicated each time.

Interesting tidbit! That sounds like the same situation at BCV with dedicated 2 bedrooms and the bedding in the second bedroom. I wonder if there are anymore reservable sub catagories at other resorts?

All 3 on that corner are dedicated 1 bedrooms (2nd, 3rd & 4th floor). There isn't a corner room on the first floor, that's where the exit door is.

Well, nuts. I guess we'll just have "make do" with the regular villas.

Yup, that exit right under us was really handy! We used it often.
