Are there connecting category 11 cabins ?

Hi all -

We're considering another 4-day cruise next April. We are a family of 5. Last time we were lucky enough to get connecting secret porthole cabins on deck 5 that are booked as catagory 10's. I'm thinking about a back-up plan if those are not available this time (we book through DVC so I won't be able to book until the end of May).

So my question is ... are there connecting category 11 cabins ?

Also, does anyone know ... if you'd like connecting cabins, can you book a GTY ( and hope for an upgrade) or do you have to have the cabins pre-assigned because the amount of connecting cabins are limited ? I think we'd be happy with any category as long as the cabins are connecting.

Looking at the stateroom layout of the Disney ships it doesn't look like they have connecting category 11s or 12s.

I have heard of individuals booking connecting rooms and being upgraded to connecting rooms at a higher category. Not sure about the whole GTY question though.

We booked connecting rooms, Cat. 10 on our last 2 cruises. My understanding was that Cat. 10 was the least expensive cat. that had connecting rooms.

I would book the rooms you want and make sure that they are connecting. It really is nice to have inside access to the other room.

You may be lucky and get a connecting room upgrade! If not at least you'll have a "suite"!

as others have said, there are no connecting cat 11 rooms.

I definitely would not book at GTY if you NEED connecting rooms. There is a great possibility that your assigned rooms could even be on separate decks.

We booked gty cat 11 and requested connecting or very close rooms. Of course we didn't get connecting because there aren't any in cat 11, but we were assigned one cabin deck 7 aft, and one cabin deck 6 forward . So, my advice is to defintely try to get rooms assigned that are connecting! My travel agent has called twice to try and get our rooms reassigned to no avail.

We are in the same situation. We're DVC members too, and are booking our cruise for next April too! We're also looking to book two cat. 11 rooms, but I'm aware they won't be connecting. I am wondering for those that have done it, what is the percentage or chance that they won't be next to each other? Is it huge or very small? Its just not an option to have our three boys on another deck! But we're already using three years worth of points to do this trip, which includes 7 days at DW and cruise. I really hope there isn't a huge chance that we would be seperated, or I just wouldn't book. Although, won't I just find that out when I book and can choose my location right then and there?
