Are there any Wii's out there? Update post #23!

keep calling the local Walmarts. I called them everyday for like a week until one day they said they just received 11 Wii's. I booted in there and was able to get the second last one. They can hold them for a few hours, if they are nice.
Call them between 11 and 12 (noon). Usually they are delivered by a commercial carrier (fed ex or ups). At least that is what our local Walmart electronics dept manager told us.

Last year, I waited outside my local EB games for their delievery to arrive.
It came at 10:00 am, and had 1 Wii in the truck.
I do know that they get a delivery everyday, but they don't know ahead of time what is on it, as it depends on what the factory has in stock.

I got a Wii!!!

I did the rounds of all of the places...no luck anywhere for me. Since I happened to be driving past Toys R Us I decided to stop in there, even though they told me on the phone they had none.

Well, when I asked if they had any, they said they just got a shipment like five minutes before but they did not know how many Wiis were there. There were 9 people waiting before me and they asked me if I wanted to be put on the list. I said sure. Then other people started coming and waiting (word spread around the store fast, lol!).

Finally the guy came up the aisle with 10 Wiis! I was #10 to ask so I actually got one.

I can't thank you all enough for your suggestions. If it hadn't been for trying I would never have even been out past Toys R Us today.

It is going to be tight financially but now I feel like my boys are meant to have a Wii this year, lol. I can just hear the fun of Jedi lightsabre battles all Christmas break!

Congrats on your success.
Now that you have the system you may want to get an extra controller, and nunchuck, as well as a charger for the wiimotes.

If anyone is still looking, I live in Oakville and today I was a Sears, of all places, and I noticed that they had several of them. I guess no one really thinks of Sears for this kind of thing...

No, sorry I didn't see any Wii Fits today...I bought mine quite a while ago at Costco but I haven't seen any there lately. Sorry. ) :

I was at EB games in Clarkson in SW Mississauga this evening.
No Wii's or Wii Fit.
But I was able to find Lego Batman for the PSP. It's on my nephews list.

The staff are especially helpful at this location EB location.

YEAH!!!! I went to our local EB Games this morning in St. Albert, and stood in line for about half an hour prior to opening. The line up was already about 12 ppl deep. I managed to get a wii fit, and they also had consoles for sale too. I guess they got a large shipment in last night... so finally the wii fit is not elusive to me anymore, LOL. I hope it is as fun as everyone says!

I was in the Presque Isle, Maine Wal-Mart and they had them today. PI is right near the border of New Brunswick near Perth-Andover. HTH!

Our local Walmart had 40 last night and still had 16 this morning. My DIL needed 2 and was able to get them. No Wii Fits though
