I am assuming that there are some tables for two at Palo's, but DF doesn't like eating with "strangers," friendly or not. It takes him some time to warm up to people so this is uncomfortable for him. We usually cruise with a small group of people and so don't have to worry about sitting with anyone we don't know. But, this would be our first cruise with just the two of us as I'm am anxious to try DCL, and DF is humoring me.
We cruised in a group of 5 last cruise (Holland America), and DF was actually uncomfortable when an officer joined our table on all formal nights -- even with 4 of his closest family members and friends!
Holland America offers romance packages where you are guaranteed a table for two, but I don't see anything similar at DCL. I'm sure our TA could note our request on our reservation, but I am just wondering anyone's success at securing a table for two -- honeymooners, etc.
TIA
