Hello All,

We arrive at Saratoga Springs on May 12 and have no park passes that day. I was hoping to find a nicer restaurant where we could eat outside. I would really like to avoid eating inside as much as possible.

We obviously have proximity to Disney Springs which I've heard has lots of restaurants, I just don't know if they have outdoor seating and if you can reserve outdoor seating.

How IS the inside dining right now? How far apart are the tables? Is it packed? How's the ventilation system? I worry about the air conditioning blowing covid air right at us as we eat, unmasked.

Do most of the counter service places have plenty of outdoor seating? I HATE bugs and normally refuse to eat outside, lol, but now I'd rather contend with a fly than a wafting covid particle.

Is there any chance you can eat outside at Crystal Palace? I never have, but they do have that space outside...

Thanks!

There are very few in park TS with outdoor seating, you’ll be doing QS for the most part in parks if you want to sit outside. Tony’s is it for MK. Epcot is slightly better, Rose & Crown and Spice Road Table both have patio seating. AK and HS are a bust iirc...Brown Derby Lounge was it for HS but they’re drinks only right now. But just about all QS have outdoor seating areas.

For outdoor table service DS will be your best bet. Most of the restaurants there have some kind of patio or rooftop seating.

Yes, lots of options at Disney Springs and most of those spots accept reservations on OpenTable where you are able to enter a request for outdoor dining. We love a lot of spots at Disney Springs but our favorites are Boathouse, Wine Bar George, and Homecomin' - all offer some outdoor seating.

I've visited 2 or 3 times post-COVID and in "real life" am very, very cautious with respect to the pandemic. The only indoor dining I was uncomfortable with was at Teppan Edo in EPCOT. Via Napoli (also EPCOT) was borderline. All other places felt safe/comfortable to me. Some of the best (I thought) in terms of distancing of tables were Hollywood Brown Derby (DHS) and Tiffins (AK). One note on AK, it's a lounge, so small plates only, but really easy to make a meal at Nomad Lounge - outdoor seating available. At MK, if wanting outdoor table service dining, your best bet might be taking a break and going to an MK area resort - Grand Floridian Cafe has outdoor seating for breakfast and lunch only or Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge is another good option.

Rose and Crown has outdoor seating, Via Napoli has seating in a side room that opens outside. We ate there instead of the main dining for Via Napoli. There was limited outdoor seating at Trattoria de Forno.

Do a thread search for outdoor. Lots of choices in those recent threads.

Homecomin in DS gave us a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We ate outdoors and it was very nice.

Raglan Road has lots of outdoor seating with live music! I think you can request that when making your reservation

I would really like to avoid eating inside as much as possible. - I would head to Disney Springs - just off the top of my head outdoor dinning - Boathouse, Terralina, Ragland Road, Earl of Sandwich, The Polite Pig, Wine bar George...

I worry about the air conditioning blowing covid air right at us as we eat, unmasked. - As far as dinning inside, it's pretty much like anywhere else, the table are spaced out, and people eating and enjoying their meals... It seems like you are very nervous and worried about possibly eating inside, with this in mind you might just want to stick to QS, it would be such a waste if you can't relax and enjoy a table service meal...

This is Florida and bugs are just part of it... I'm a local so I can speak to this from a year around point of view.. There is some outdoor seating available, but if you are looking to isolate yourself and family that's really not possible, you might want to think about not eating at prime time meal times..

Is there any chance you can eat outside at Crystal Palace? I never have, but they do have that space outside... No, outside dinning a Crystal Palace

In reading your questions you seem very anxious about being around the crowds in general. You might want to get the vaccine before coming just for your peace own peace of mind... No sense coming if you are not going to be able to relax and enjoy it... Just follow the rules, lots of hand washing, and everything is marked very well, on where to stand in line in the que's.

I had the same worries and felt no trouble finding outdoor dining at Disney Springs, with Jaleo at the top of the chain.

WDW still adheres to a 50% capacity. I ate at the Sanaa lounge in a half-full restaurant. I had the lounge to myself and felt perfectly safe, though, in the interest of disclosure, I had just gotten my second vaccine.

Hope this helps.

We've been back to Disney November '20 and March '21. Do yourself a favor and do a grocery order that includes a couple of dinner items. Takes the worry off. Both times we were at AK and the food situation there is bad - not impossible but not good. We never had a problem at the Springs finding a nice place to eat that was well distanced.

House of Blues at Disney Springs has outdoor seating and not sure but have had some entertainment in the past. Raglan Road, one of our favorites and outdoor seating also,
