Are there any rooms avail at value in Aug?

No matter how I work the dates, nothing comes up except the cabins at FW or a suite at CS! Is the entire month of Aug going to be packed??!!

I called today for any room on property 8/5-8/8. I was told the only available rooms were at the YC. Three nights would have ran $1299.00, before taxes. They even checked all of the surrounding hotels - nothing. Swan/Dolphin was full too. I was really surprised. We easily got reservations this time last summer.

I've read a couple of posts that suggest trying Expedia and Orbitz. Someone just booked SSR for the middle of August today on Expedia. Good Luck!!!

I called yesterday just to see if I could upgrade my resort from moderate to deluxe (I'm going Aug 5th) and the person I spoke to actually chuckled at my request. She said, "Honey every resort is fully booked until at least Aug 19th due to the construction at AKL, people are being moved around to other resorts and also due to the one wing that was torn down at CR."

I'd keep trying, maybe you could get something after Aug 19th

Yep, it's gonna be mega packed in August!

When they released the great AP rates a few weeks ago, EVERYTHING booked up. Toss in Free Dining at the end of the month and add in the fact that AKL is causing a lot of relocation and you end up with full capacity.

Glad I booked when I did and didn't drag my feet like I often do!
