We're leaving tomorrow to drive from Toronto to WDW, and we will be at our first park on November 5th. Years ago I paid for Tour Guide Mike (about a year before we left), and it was very helpful. This time, I have barely had any time to do any planning. The most useful thing I remember from using TGM was the step by step touring plans of each park ie. Arrive 60 mins before rope drop, be first in line, go directly to Peter Pan, then Winnie the Pooh, then Dumbo etc until we rode abouthe 12 rides before 10:30am. Is there anything like this for free? If not, what is the best one out there I can purchase? And is it worth it to purchase something like this so close to our trip day?

Thanks:)

Easywdw.com— free cheat sheet for each park. They’re amazing!

Touring Plans is awesome, and has an App you can use in parks for wait times/food/dining plan info and FP information. It does cost 15 (US) dollars per year though. Their website does have some free stuff, but I found my 15 dollars well spent so far.

You don't have your Fastpasses, dining booked? You're gonna have a rough go of it. Not an impossible thing, but hopefully you weren't looking for the big, new FP's and dining options because they're all but gone.

I booked fast passes, a couple of dining reservations and ordered our magic bands and memory maker. But I haven't figured out a plan for each park (except for our fast pass times).

TouringPlans will let you select things you want to do, put in your FP times, and it'll calculate your best bet of how to proceed around the park. It even has the ability to put in breaks/dining.

OK awesome! Thanks! I'll purchase that and figure it all our on our drive down.

Wing it. It'll be the best trip ever if you do. So many people get caught up in the rush of micro-managing their trips that they forget to actually have fun.

When we go, we book a few ADR's and have our FP's made for each day but that's it. Knowing you have that bare skeleton of a trip planned out, that's all you really need. If you had nothing, that's a different story (which it seemed from your OP that was the case). Enjoy the freedom of knowing you can look at the wait times and go left/right or get in line if you want and you're not "committed" to anything.

It's great if you can look at the weather and adjust plans or see that a certain park is crowded and you go another way. Some of these plans make you feel like you're locked in ultimately. So, just take whatcha got and run with it. Take a vote the night before or the morning of and say "where do we want to go today?"... The answers may surprise you, lol.

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense. Sorry about my OP being unclear. This is our 4th WDW trip (we have gone every 3 years for 2 weeks at a time), and I have probably put in about 100 hours of research and reading posts for the first 3 trips and now with 6 kids and all of them in competitive sports, I have spent about 2 hours total booking fast passes, a couple ADRs and ordering our magic bands. We had 6 kids last time too, but only our older 3 were in competitive sports so I had more time than I do now lol.

With 6 kids, yeah, have your basic park for your FP's but let them "vote" on where they want to go. Could be a fun change instead of telling them where you're going, let them decide.
