The more I look at it, the more I think we're going to have too much food on the DP--even with two teenagers who can put it away. ;)

So I'm thinking that maybe we should split a few TS meals and then we'd have a few credits for breakfast. But I've not researched breakfasts very much because we were just going to eat in our rooms before leaving for the parks.

So can anyone tell me if there are any breakfasts out there worth the TS or CS credits? Character breakfasts don't really matter to us--we're looking more at meal quality (and for my teens, quantity :) ). Thanks!

We're thinking of doing the same thing. We may go get some pancakes or mickey waffles at the Old Port Royal food court (CBR).

I noticed Rain Forest has a great breakfast menu, but they don't accept the DP. I made breakfast reservations there for the date we are doing AK. We don't have a Rain Forest here locally.

Quaility and quantity are both good at Whispering Canyon in Wilderness Lodge. We also enjoy the interaction with the CMs. Could be worth it to see the teenagers blush!

I agree with poster who mentioned Whispering Canyon. We also enjoy the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. Great breakfast. Good selection..character interaction...but not over done.. or too kiddie like...liesurely pace. Good family fun...even for teens..and I've got a couple of those! Cape May is a place we don't miss for at least one breakfast and one dinner. The dinner is called the Clam Bake..but don't let that throw you if you don't like seafood. There is plenty of other food to choose from. No characters in the evening.

Kona Cafe has great food for breakfast. :)

We always eat one breakfast at the Crystal Palace. It is a character breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends. The food is pretty good...but the fun part about this breakfast is that if you book the first sitting (at 8:05), you area allowed to enter the MK an hour prior to opening. Last vacation, we had a wonderful breakfast, and then walked around MK and took some great photos while it was empty....and were the first ones in line for Splash Mountain! :sunny:

Cape May is good, Spoodles is good , Kono's is great.

For both quality and quantity, DH and I recommend Boma at AKL - it is done in buffet style. There are some African selections, but many traditional American breakfast items. We enjoyed the food, variety, and atmosphere.

Concourse Steakhouse has great Eggs Benedict, also Boatwrights. Cape May has a pretty good buffet. Spoodles used to have a good breakfast buffet, but I think they discontinued it several years ago.

Boatwrights has the best breakfast I've ever had anywhere any time. The blueprint omlette is amazing. Three kinds of cheese and 5-6 types of veggies, they had sausage, bacon, and ham too but I don't eat those. Sweet Potato pancakes are fantastic too.

We have enjoyed the following
1900 Park Fare at GF-very good buffet, everyone I have taken there wants to go back
Boma-very nice quiet setting, food is good and it is a wonderful way to see AKL, we even had pork loin for breakfast there and their frunch juice is good
WCC at WL-the skillet all you can eat is a great deal
Kona at Poly-the Tonga toast is great, but very sweet

For quick service-most of the hotels have an egg, biscuit, hash browns, and bacon meal for less than $6.
At Epcot, Fountainview has a very good breakfast pocket with meat, cheese and egg. The Electric umbrella also serves breakfast.

I plan on eating at Fort Wilderness sometime. I've heard their breakfast buffet is very good. I believe it costs about $12. The restaurant is Trail's End.

Our favorites in order are:

Whispering Canyon Cafe- definitely the skillet here
Boma
Boatwrights
Kona Cafe

hmmmmmmmm, I am surprised no one mentioned Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness. We love that place.
