Are there any DVC Cast members out there?

I am a cast member, and am thinking about joining the DVC. I was just wondering if anyone else out there is currently a cast member and still finds this a worthwhile purchase. I am thinking I would like to have this for my family in the future (no kids yet), but could use it currently for mini vacations. Just wondering if anyone did the comparisions with cast member resort prices, and if it still pays off.

I guess alot of it depends on whether you are going to retire from Disney. Since your room discounts ends when you leave the company, this would determine if buying DVC is good for you. We knew hubby would leave the company one day and the room discounts would end so buying into DVC was a good choice for us. Plus getting the CM discount on the points combined with any other current incentives brought our price down. We put our daughter on our contract so that she is an owner and can use the points when we will no longer be able to. We have several WDW CM friends who have bought into the DVC. They all seem happy with their decision and they all use the resorts for mini vacations often. It doen't hurt to talk with a DVC CM and hear the pros and cons. Also check to see what the current Florida CM discount is right now. Hubby was a Disney Company CM so our discount was only 15%, a little less than what they were offering Florida CMs.
