Are the theme parks open on Labor Day?

I am coming out for a week at the beginning of September.

Will the theme parks and shops be open on Labor Day?

Also what day is it on again?

The parks are open every day! Labor Day will be on a Monday, it always is, the date changes each year.

I think Disney has only closed parks for bad weather, and it has only happened a couple of times.

We'll be there too, 9/1-9/8.

I'm pretty sure that Labor Day, 9/1 will be very busy in the parks. It makes a three day weekend for most folks. That's our arrival day so we may only run over to EPCOT to see the fireworks.

I'm HOPING that everyone goes home that day and the rest of the week will be low crowds!

Can't get here soon enough for me!!!

Disney is open every day of the year.

Labor Day, believe it or not, is a great day to visit. Most children are back in school, so many people are not traveling. We have spent many, many Labor Days at WDW and have always had a great time.

Tampafan - thanks for the reassurance on Labor Day itself....we were there on Labor Day in 2000 and didn't think it was crowded but we're going again this year with friends and I don't think I had them really convinced
