Are the Shutter photos up yet?

I am troubled by the text in the link to the Shudders food photos.

"Shutters Food Porn"

I thought it was supposed to be fun to see porn?

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I saw the pictures first and then listened to the review just today. I couldn't stop laughing.

Wow. I'm glad I've never eaten there.

Funny as the review was, it really does kind of tick me off that Disney is pulling this kind of stuff.

Disney vacations are expensive, and for some a once in a lifetime event.

I'd hate to think of a family who has scrimped and saved for years to take their kids to Disney World sitting down to this poor excuse for a dinner.

What a first impression that would make.

The Disney "powers that be" know full well the quality of food coming out of that kitchen. And in this instance, they should be ashamed of themselves.

As much of a cliche as it is, I have to say it: Imagine what Walt would think of all this...

So did you even have an appetite to stop for McDonald's after this mess?

I absolutely agree that this quality of food and service is uncalled for with the prices people pay to stay and eat at WDW. If this were not a review, I am certain than most people would complain to the manager. Kevin and John would have if it were not for it being a review. I like to think that "management" would take this seriously, apologize and "comp" the meals. Still, it's inexcusable. I would not have been laughing, although the review itself was hilarious to listen to. :rotfl2:

For my family's very first visit to WDW in 1989, we stayed at CB and had several meals at the food court at Port Royale and enjoyed the fast food selections - everything in a box with fries. Healthy dining was not an emphasis then. My DW has been suggesting that we try Shutters some time for "old times' sake". Not anymore! :scared1:

Thanks, Kevin!

omg.. ok i swear this has never happened to be before but looking at those food pics actually made me queasy...i dont think i would have lasted thru that whole meal with it front of me..the smell the look...ugggg:sick:

ok i just showed the steak pic to mu husband and he says" what? theres nothing wrong with it..'' i said are u kidding-u would eat that? and he says yeah why not.... so there u go people-thats why that place is still in business cuz u get freaks like my hubby who see nothing wrong:confused3

I'm wondering just how closely Disney monitors each restaurant. This would make a good research or interview segment for the Podcast. What is Disney's internal quality control process? Do they do unannounced spot inspections? Does the resort management have any control over the restaurants on their property? I understand a bad day or some poor wait staff. I can't understand or explain what comes out of some of these kitchens.

If you give me some guacamole, sour cream, cheese and tortillas I could finish off that steak if I needed to.

There are some items that I don't think I'd recognize as food if I did not hear the podcast myself! How they treated those ingredients is insulting to the animals. :sad2:

When I first saw the title of this thread a few days ago, I thought who cares what the shutters on the windows of some resort look like? :rotfl: Then I downloaded the podcast. The info about said something about shutters and I thought: Again with the shutters? What's the big deal about the shutters?

Then I listened to the podcast! Don't forget, that not only was the food bad but also he said the service was terrible. I can't imagine going to eat anywhere, let alone Disney, and have the server complain about you being seating in their area! Of course I had to see the pictures after hearing about it. So now we have a new "classic" - the autopsy steak. :scared1: Bring that one out at Halloween!

That has got to be the best review I have heard for anything in quite a while!:rotfl:

We just got back from a week at CBR. We were debating if we should try Shutters or not. We decided not to, thank goodness. :woohoo: Stick to the food court. Everything we had there was pretty good.

It's a shame Shutters has gotten so bad. I was staying at CBR a couple years ago for my solo trip and ate at Shutters. They had prime rib on the menu, and it was fabulous! Really, it was one of the better meals of my trip. My server was super nice and helpful too.
Amazing what a couple years can do to a place! :scared1:
