Are the rumours that Anna and Elsa are joining the Ariel's Grotto character meal true? I can make dining reservations for our September trip in 3 days, so if they will be at AG (and I can avoid a sprint through the park at opening!), I will go ahead a make a ressie! Thanks!!

At this point there hasn't been any official announcements or even rumors from any of the typical "sources" (like Al Lutz or some of the CMs on this board). Last I heard it was just a rumor that someone heard from a cast member...and those more often than not, do not turn out to be true. There hasn't been any follow-up since those initial rumor threads either. Basically, I wouldn't completely discount it, but I wouldn't put much/any stock into it either.

You could always make the reservation then cancel if they don't get added to the line up. But there's also no panic to make reservations so far out - it's really easy to get a reservation just a few days out from your trip. If you absolutely must have a very specific time for your breakfast though, you can go ahead and make the reservation for peace of mind. :goodvibes

I would take a chance and make the reservation. If they arent added you cancel. If they are added, you might not be able to get a reservation in time!

Going in August and this would be great for me as well. My question is if I make a temporary reservation how will I know when/if it does indeed occur?

If this is true, it will be interesting to see if they are guaranteed or if they'll be on a rotating schedule like the other princesses. It would be really disappointing to spend that much thinking you'll see Elsa, only to have her not there.

While I am highly skeptical that they would Anna and/or a Elsa to Ariel's Grotto, if they did, I don't think they would guarantee that any specific character will be there. Disney seems to be very careful to never gauantee that any character will be any specific meal. If they did add them, I wouldn't be surprised if they markedly increased the price of the meal and require full payment at time of booking (kind of like how they do at CRT). Still, I highly doubt they'll add them to AG in the very near future and we have to remember that it was something that one person heard from one server at AG and there has been no follow-up.

I actually completely agree with you. I would hate for people to book this (if were even true of course) assuming they were guaranteed to be there.

Do these meals usually sell out like they do at WDW? If so, then there's nothing to gain by adding them. And either they'd have to replace 2 of the other ladies or incur the cost of an additional actress. I just don't see either as likely. That said, I'll be watching just to be sure. ;)

In general, it's much easier to get last minutes ADRs at DLR than it is at WDW. For example, I glanced at AG and saw that there were times available tomorrow.

If it were true and word got out I would expect demand to dramatically increase and for same day or even same week ADRs to be very rare. There's no harm making it as long as you cancel it in time if it if it's not true and you don't want to do it without them. That said, I highly doubt it's true...

I agree there is no harm in booking it now and just waiting it out. I was more speaking for *if* it was true, people making reservations here, without prior plans of doing so, assuming that E&A would be guaranteed.
