Are the half board meal vouchers a good idea or not?

This will be our first visit so unsure whether to get them or not. It says they can be used in lots of different restaurants? Wondering if they will save us money or if there will be unexpected costs with them.

it won't save you much, maybe just a bit. And you have to eat at the restaurants on your list. If you want to able to use in lots of restaurants, you pay more and might not pay off. It's rather pay in advance than saving money thing.

no, they are not good value. They restrict where you can eat, and if you use them at face value (ie instead of with set menus etc) you could be losing money rather than saving anything.

They certainly don't save you anything like the 10% advertised on the Disney website/brochures.

no, you can get the ones you one. You just get them separately.

sorry I meant by default. You can 'upgrade' of course. It is a consideration though. If you have the higher tier vouchers but want to eat at annette's your voucher is worth a lot more than a meal at annettes so it ends up being a waste.
