Are the gifts and amenities (Very Merry Christmas theme) worth the extra $$$?

Family (DW, DS , DD) and I will be sailing on the Fantasy in December for a Very Merry Christmas cruise. I happened to check out the gifts and amenities under my reservation an saw some room decor for this themed cruise. Has anyone ever purchased the throw and pillow and/or the room decorations. Wanting to do something different to surprise the family that I have never done and feel this would be something we could use even after the cruise and think back on memories made.

We bought the Marvel set that included the throw and pillow and they were even better quality than I expected. We fought over the throw on the flight home.

If you want them, I second the suggestion of getting them ASAP! The throws especially sell out very quickly. We did the tree throw and the ornament floral arrangement and picked up a flameless holiday candle at the Disney store at MCO. We did a little more than usual because we sailed over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Just bit the bullet today and ordered both the throw/pillow and decorations packages for our stateroom for our Nov Magic sailing. It's a surprise for the rest of my family as this cruise is our "family" Christmas gift, so I'm hoping it will be well worth it. I called to place the order. So, obviously my vote is to go for it!

When did they become available? I've been checking virtually every day and have to seen any. Of course, half of the time it shows be the "we're working on it page" when I try to check anything!

We got the throw and pillow package for our Merrytime cruise thiss past December. The throw was a different one.

We LOVED it and still use the throw regularly. It was also helpful at night on the ship when sometimes the stateroom would get cold, and VERY helpful at the end of the cruise when we arrived to Port Canaveral for a stay at WDW and they were having an unseasonable cold spell with temperatures just barely above freezing. Wilderness Lodge was having serious issues sufficiently heating the lodge and rooms, and we were very grateful to have that blanket.

They only sell it on the Marvel Day at Sea cruises, so you'll only see it in the list when you've selected a port that has one of those theme cruises leaving soon. I don't see it at all right now.

They actually have two Marvel options. Room decorations and the pillow/throw set. We did both. I believe there are special themed decorations on the Star Wars cruises too.

I placed my order yesterday afternoon. I always like being the one who knows about a surprise when everyone else does not. Excite that "their little elf" will be stopping by our room before we arrive. (might have to tell DW I am the little elf for some "brownie points")
