Are the First Few Days in June Considered Busy??

O.K., first let me say that I hate these "Is it busy when" threads, but...

My son gets out a week ahead of my daughters for summer vacation or we would go a week earlier. We are trying to go to DLR around the 2nd or 3rd of June for a couple of days before beginning a vacation in San Diego.

Also, are the schools in CA out at that time?

I would think early into June would not be too bad. It might be crowded, but I would not think as bad as mid summer or Thanksgiving/Christmas time. In Northern California the schools are still in session until mid June. Now in Central California we are done by June 1 and I am not sure about So Cal. I can say that I think "value" season is still in effect until end of June, so to me that would mean a little slower. Wow, I probably did not help you at all I am hoping, like you it won't be too bad because we are going from June 17-22nd (have to wait for niece to get out of school).

We have been a couple different times in early June, it wasn't bad. Obviously the weekends were more crowded than during the week. We did use FP for things like Space Mtn, Splash Mtn, and Indy, but the return time was usually in the next couple hours. I think the longest wait time I remember seeing was for Indy and it was like 50 min, and that may have been on a weekend day. It was busy enough for them to run out of FP's for Splash and Indy when we went looking, but it was on the weekend in the evening. We were able to ride everything we wanted a few different times a day. We got a good spot for fireworks and Fantasmic. We are planning on going again this year in early June. There are some Grad nights at that time, but I don't remember them being an issue for us.

If you can do the weekdays that first week in June, we have done that two tiems now and it was great. After the 7th or 8th is when it will start to get pretty busy! That first week is usually a good time to go. Check for Grad nites though as the park will close early those nights. But CA is usually open later to accomodate.
