Are the DME buses labeled for corresponding resort?

Okay, as we probably all know by now, the search is currently disabled...BUT I did try doing a separate search on Google and read several things on here, but still couldn't find my answer...(I even Googled to look at pictures of the DME buses to try to find the answer, but still couldn't) So...

Is each bus labeled/identified once you have arrived at the airport? I read that you will be told which line to go to...but not necessarily that the bus itself will be labeled as to which resort it is going to... Or is there a sign in front of the bus?

Reason I ask is because this is a trip of many surprises for our kids...and thought it would be so cool if the kids didn't know which resort we're staying in until we actually start to pull up to it......:goodvibes

(I know the regular buses that shuttle you to and from the parks are labeled.)

Thanks!

There is a generic sign on a post at the beginning of each line (and maybe at the end too). You might be able to get past it if you have alot of stuff and are watching for it. If you aren't up to the front of your line you might be able to avoid it there as well.

The buses are not marked at all. Hosts will tell you which bus to get on but at that point you wouldn't be able to keep it a secret because the drivers typically shout out all the resorts and the order several time and have people raise their hands so he knows how many are going where.

Thanks for answering. :thumbsup2

Well, we'll just keep it a secret as long as we can. :cool1: So excited!

Here's the issue....when you get to the DME area, you are directed to the appropriate bus line. There is signage at the start of each line as well as at the end. So, unless you scoot in quickly and then aren't close to the front of the line, your kids will see which resort you're in line for.
If you want it to be a true surprise, then a towncar is going to be your best bet. You could take it one way...then take DME back to MCO, but it will cost you.

And the CM directing people to the appropriate lines will orally confirm to which resort you're headed, and the CM who then walks you to the bus will orally confirm, AND the bus driver will orally confirm. They want to make sure there aren't any problems -- sort of like the flight attendants on planes saying, "if you're not going to Orlando, please let us know now because this plane is going to Orlando."

And still I have seen people have to gather up their stuff and get off the bus!!!! The driver makes that last announcement....he says this bus is going to BW, YC, BC....and the dad in back says, 'yeah, but what about CBR?'.....they just weren't listening earlier and figured BC, CBR....what's the difference?? So, off they get.

It is going to be hard to keep the resort a secret unless the kiddos are really preoccupied.

I've seen this a couple of times on the DME buses and more than a few times on commuter planes. I'm always amazed!
