I thought it was supposed to stay up through Oct. 2nd, but I overheard someone saying that they went to DL over the weekend and they were already dismantling the decorations. DH2B and I were planning on taking the 15th off work and going to see the decor one last time so I'm hoping that someone here might know for sure.

TIA! :mickeybar

Everything seemed to be up still today when we were there. I also heard Oct 2 was the last day.

REALLY???? OH! Um ok! Sorry, where did you hear that if you dont mind me asking? You've got me all curious now. :)

I hear that some 50th stuff has already started to come down, and most of it will be removed by September 30th, though some stuff, like the Castle will last a bit longer.

We were out there tonight, and while most of the 50th anniversary decorations are still up, the gold horse from King Arthur's carousel and the gold Dumbo are both gone. The stationary Dumbo is also gone. A CM said they were taken down last week. And so it ends...

One of the DL brochures had the Oct 2nd date listed.

We were there in June and the decorations were just beautiful. It's sad to hear they will be gone soon along with the decorations at WDW. :sad2:

I hope I'm around to see 75 years!! :goodvibes

Is the 50th fireworks show still going on? And is the Magical Years (think that's the name) where the Presidents normally are still there?

Whew! Glad we got one last pic in the Golden Dumbo!

The 50th fireworks will continue on until late october

When I booked our trip, I was told that the end of the 50th would be Oct. 2nd. We haven't seen any of it (have actually never been to DL), so tried to time the trip so we could see the decorations and shows.

I'm sad that they're taking items down before the Oct. 2nd! We won't be able to see some of them when we go next week. :(

Dont let it disappoint you. It's Disneyland, and you are going to have a fantastic time anyways. :)

Does anybody know if some/all of the special 50 hidden mickey's are still up?

I'm going on Tuesday to get pics of them all...but I think I'm gonna end up kicking myself for waiting so long... :(

They seem to be taking things down quickly. I suspect everything will be down by the end of the month if not sooner. A bunch of murials are gone, a lot of the 50 Mickeys are gone. I was really disapointed.

A lot of them are still up, but some of them are already down. As of yesterday the ones on Main Street and the castle are still there, as is the one in the Mad Tea Party. But the ones in Adventureland and on the Haunted Mansion are gone. The Columbia and Mark Twain still have theirs.
Not sure about the rest of the park.

Those in Frontierland and Tomorrowland were down the other day. I didn't check Fantasyland.
