that Disney will extend the pin or AP rate to cover Easter and the week after? My nephew will be at Disney World then with his school orchestra, and I would like to go see them play. Saving some money on the room would be great!

Should I not hold my breath?

Don't hold your breath. The week before and week after Easter are the absolute busiest times of year because that's when most schools have spring break. There's no need for Disney to entice more people to come by offering discounts, the hotels and parks are already full to capacity (the parks even had to close a few times the week after Easter this year due to being full!).

I'm with you, wanting to save money, but definitely do not hold your breath. It really is one of the busiest weeks at WDW. It ranks right up there with the week after Christmas. I went ahead and made our reservation, realizing we'll likely be paying rack rate, even with AP.
