Are the bugs bad in your area of the country? I live in central Ohio and with all the rain we have had over the last three months, our bugs are multiplying by the second. The ants are everywhere, the flies are horrid and the mosquitos are chewing my legs up every evening after five(I sit outside and watch my son practice for football five nights a week). This year just seems to be worse than any year I have ever remembered.

At night, we've had more bugs flying around our outside light than normal this year. As far as bugs being out during the day, they're as bad as they normally are. I don't think I've seen any Japenese Beetles this year though.

Nah....

No, actually. :) One of the benefits of living in Southern California. I am very allergic to many bugs that bite and it's nice to live somewhere where I don't have to apply insect repellant every day. :)

The mosquitoes are horrendous here. It's seems this year they are 1) Bigger 2) there's more of them And 3) they're hungrier!

I have the marks to prove it too. Last weekend we went camping in Maine and we went through 2 cans of bug spray.

I can't believe all of the bugs we have here in No. Fl....first the mosquitos are horrible and then you have to worry about getting a horrid disease with them so I have to carry bug spray in the back of our car!
No see ums.and then ...lately I've been seeing these big huge black beetle type things too! Yeck!

With all of the rain we've had this year, the mosquito population is out of control.

And lots of ticks this year too - my area has 3x's the number of lyme disease cases this year than any other place in the country.

Fire Ants are always a dream...I go into the backyard, and I end up getting at least one bite.....GRRRRRRR...

Beetles, bees, ants, gnats, no see ums, mosquitos, and who knows what else is kreeping around out there...roaches, palmetto bugs....ewwwwww

The only thing I can't stand are the flying roaches. *shudder*

M problem in Central Florida is the FIRE ANTS. I hate using poison - I'm sure it is bad for the dog. I always get bitten. I have scars that are unbelievable. And the bites hurt. No matter how much poison I spread they pop up somewhere else and they're mad.

it's at my neighbor's house - not mine.

We noticed a problem with Grubs so we put down Grub-ex and it kills other bugs too. They really haven't been too bad at my house since we put the stuff down. I was standing in my neighbor's yard one evening and started getting eatten alive by mosquitos. Must have had 6 bites in just a few minutes.
