Are the any good places to host a convention?

There are literally thousands of resorts and convention hotels in Orlando, it's actually one of the largest and most popular convention destinations in North America.. If you can provide a bit more detail on what you are looking for and where, I can try to guide you in the right direction.. I would also recommend checking out this website: https://www.orlandomeeting.com/

Size of group and cost obviously would be factors. Disney and Universal do onsite conventions too FYI. DH has attended several conventions at the Contemporary hotel (onsite WDW) over the years for the Casualty Actuarial Society (and what do you know -- I tagged along). They also had a conference at Royal Pacific (onsite hotel for Universal - I came along for that one too). As previous poster alluded too there are tons of options.

I have attended events at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Both were beautiful properties. Bonnet Creek parking was expensive for those staying at hotels elsewhere.

I have coordinated many. I would suggest contacting Visit Orlando they have people who can assist you. Many factors would go into the location selection: Cost, # attendees, hotel rooms, F&B, date and how much meeting space do you need? Orlando is the top Conference and Meeting destination in the country.
