Are the any AP parking discounts!

I am think about renting a car for our upcoming trip. Are there any AP parking discounts at the Disney Parks.

I am sure I am able to park at the hotel for free - right!

Never rented a car before so I want to do my research to get the total cost of renting a car (rental, gas, parking, etc.)!

If you have an AP then you get free parking and if you are staying on property then they give you a piece of paper to put on your dash and that gets you free parking too.

If your staying on property you will get a parking permit, upon checking in, that is good throughout the WDW property, so there is no fee to park at the parks. Just show the gate attendant your parking pass and they will let you through.

You can get up to %20 off a car rental with Alamo. The code is inside your Passholder Guide (the envelope your AP came in). You can also check mousesavers for other rental car discount codes.

There is a $7 daily fee for valet parking at the WDW resorts.
Self parking is free.

At the Swan or Dolphin, valet is $14 (rip off ) and self park is $7.

If you are, for example, staying at POFQ and want to drive to the Poly for lunch, your parking pass from POFQ will get you through the security gate.
