Are room only codes always offered?

Having really only been once ( I don't really count the two trips back in 1973 and the college 1/2 day trip) I can only testify as to the discounts offered in June of 2002. We got a great code then that made it possible for us to upgrade from value to moderate. I am now waiting to book my trip for June 2004 and hoping for a good room only code.

I got to wondering has Disney always offered room only codes or for how many years back have they done this?

If you think of codes as an occasional gift it is easier to follow. There have been codes for years but they are never released at the same time.

You just need to keep checking to see if there are any codes for the times you want to go. I figure around holidays and peak times there won't be any codes.

CRO also tends to get discount codes about 3 months out from your arrival. The key is to check frequently, even more so the closer it gets. You also may want to keep an eye on mousesavers. She is usually pretty up to date.
