I was wondering if reservations are required for BBB or just recommended? We are headed to WDW in about two weeks and I've been trying to make a reservation for my DD 5 but there hasn't been any availability. Does anyone know if BBB books every appointment in advance or do they take walk ups as well? I'll keep calling to see if there is a cancellation, but I definitely don't want to go over there without a reservation if there is no chance of getting in without one.

It's definitely better to have a reservation so I would keep calling everyday to get one, but there is still a chance while you are there. During our last trip I called in the morning and got an appointment 2 hours later at 11am at the MK location so it's no impossible.

Keep calling for cancellations. The chances of a walkup at the MK location are very slim. You might have a slightly better chance at the DTD location, but it's still tough to get.

I agree with the previous posters. Keep calling and hopefully something will open up. If not, definitely try when you get down there. Crossing my fingers for you!!

BBB starts taking reservations 180 days out and they do book up.

Since it's CC guaranteed, people do cancel, so keep checking back.

We were there in June. I called every day for a week trying to get something for any of my dates that whole week. After a week I got an appt. at 10 am for our first day. While we were in there, there was another girl sitting by us and her mom said they just walked up and got an appt. and they had done that before, too. This was at MK. They did tell me on the phone that they do take walk ups sometimes, but it is best if you get there right at opening or shortly after to make the appt. However, I did see them turning wall up people away around 10:30 so they must fill up by then. Good luck! Keep calling.

Keep checking back but they do keep a few slots open for walk ups.

Our friend was a fairy godmother and she told us to do a walk up. We got a slot at 10am Christmas morning at the castle, she just said to get there as soon as the open to try to get a space.

good luck!

It's hard to get there at opening since it opens at 8:05 AM before regular park opening. But do check as soon as possible after park opening. Thursday is AM EMH day, so the park does open at the same time as BBB on that day.

When we were there in April, DD spotted the BBB and asked to go. I told her it was unlikely we'd be able to get her in because 1) we had no reservation and 2) we didn't have a whole lot of time (less then 2 hours until our dinner ADR). I went up to the podium and asked if there was any appointments available and we were taken back immediately. This was at the DTD location. There were others behind us who also did the same thing, so perhaps you'll have some pixie dust like we did!
