Are reservations at Bongos needed?

My DH wants to eat dinner between 5pm to 7 pm this week at Bongos. We actually already have reservations for 7pm Thursday but I wonder if thats really needed. Thinking about canceling them so we have no time obligation to meet and just walking up when we’re ready.
He won’t be heartbroken if we can’t get in but would prefer to eat there.

We had so many reservations yesterday, looking to build in a little freedom
