We used to love QS hamburgers at WDW but the buns in Jan and May of this year were horrible, dry, awful excuse for a piece of bread. We are going again in Sept and I'm hoping for a great burger. Any updates on QS buns? How are the TS buns??? If they are better the we will just go to a TS for a burger.

Thanks!

CS buns are the same as they were eariler this year. They are the "multi" grain things...lol

Depending on the TS there have been reports of normal "white" hamburger buns.
I know at Sci-Fi and Beaches and Cream the buns are good. Other than that...??

Yeah, as of last week, the CS still have the crummy buns! Sorry I don't know about TS - on our trip when we ate at TS we ate things other than burgers cause we had so many burgers at CS

I think the kids meals have regular white buns - I remember sitting in Pecos Bill and looking at the kid at the table next to me and being really jealous of how good the bun looked :rotfl:

Seriously, who tries to even out a fatty delicious hot dog or burger with a crappy faux wheat bun? :rotfl2:

Do the buns have seasme seeds on them? Any of the buns the kids or the regular yucky ones? My son has a seame allergy.

In December 2010 I ordered a Cheeseburger at Gasparilla's Grill & Games at the Grand Floridian, well the bus was horrible and it fell apart. So ever since then when I went to any Quick Service locations I stayed away from ordering any of their Burgers.

Also during that time when I ordered a Cheeseburger at Beaches & Cream they are still using the good buns and those are still being used when ordering Burgers at the ESPN Club.

We were there in June and yes, they are still using the good buns. That cheeseburger tasted so much better with it. I asked and the waitress said they are made fresh daily at Yacht club.

Oh, this is good to know!! Fresh made buns sound fab!

I don't recall but you can call Disney Dining to ask in advance-- they are very helpful with allergy questions. If they are sesame free but still the icky multigrain then I would avoid them for taste alone.

Terrible, huh?

Im not sure what was worse for me- the terrible bun or the meat. Both were gross. Ordered once and never again (for 2 trips this year). Until I see something better, the burgs are off my menu.

I like the buns..Don't bother me at all.But I like multigrain, seven grain and whole grain breads and pasta too

They sure make your food hard to eat as they fall apart in your hands. On our last trip, we arrived at AK around noon and went straight to Flame Tree BBQ. We had matching shirts for each park for all 11 of us and that day they were white - 5 of the 6 kids had hotdogs for lunch and were covered in ketchup before the meal was over - and 2 of the adults had ketchup on them from trying to clean up the kids. We were so glad we had a package of baby wipes along.

We eat whole grain everything at home. Those Disney buns are just nasty. They fall apart before the burger is half finished! Why can't Disney find a source for good whole grain/whole wheat buns??????

I eat whole grain at home, but what WDW currently sells is like nasty stale whole grain bread. Like most folks, I don't like them at all

We only eat whole grain or whole wheat at home too-- and nothingbweveat at home is similar to the fake buns they sell at WDW. I'm not even sure the WDW buns are even whole grain. They are just bad.....

I'm not sure if all CS burger buns are all the same as we only do TS. I don't even remember the last time we did CS, maybe 2007, maybe earlier.
But we just did a quick 4th of July weekend trip and stayed at the CR. Since we mostly stayed on property, we ate lunch at the QS place at CR and both (my DH & me) got burgers one day. They were pretty good, including the buns. They were tasty and did not fall apart as I've read on these boards.

So if all the burger buns are like the contempo cafe, then I did not find them disguisting at all. What was disgusting was the bacon that came with breakfast at Kona, but thats another story :lmao: although I really wanted to :sad1:

I hate the buns they use! Here's an idea...offer a choice. Icky bun or regular bun.

My heart hurts (well maybe my stomach) from reading this.

We haven't been since 2009 and it appears the buns have changed since then in reading this thread. We had planned on Pecos Bill's, Cosmic Rays, Electric Umbrella, Restaurantasauras - all because we prefer burgers over pizza or BBQ at the parks. Looks like Im going to have to re-think where/what we eat.

Anyone have a pic of these evil buns? I just can't imagine a burger on a wheat bun.
