Are posted ride wait times still inflated?

At HS today, the first day of Genie. This is supposed to tell you where to go based on shortest waits. BUT, once again, standby wait times were inflates about 50% . So is Genie making recommendations on faulty information? Or does it have the real numbers to work with and make recommendations, but they still post inflated numbers? I don't know the answer. We used Genie +, but never used Genie, so not sure what its recommendations were.

What are we supposed to use to make a decision on genie purchase then? the Force?
