Are pools busy in early March?

Will I be able to swim during my 3/8-3/16 trip? If not, I don't think I'm going to go all out and reserve a great hotel (obviously planning a last minute trip) because we won't be there much if we're not swimming.

I realize that the weather does it's own thing, but would love to hear from people that have been there during that time.

Also, what time do resort pools close that time of year? Does it differ by resort?

Most pools are 24hrs. They turn off the "theme" parts : slide, fountains, etc... when there is no life guard. (8-10pm?) The quiet pools are 24hrs as long as you are quiet, there should be no problem. I have seen people asked to leave or keep it down, due to noise very late, thou.

Seems your from New Jersey. I'm guessing your weather is Chicago like? We will be in the pool for the same dates. During these times of year, people in the pool are all from the "north" and people walking by with sweatshirts, jeans, and a coat are not from the north. I've even been asked "we're you from? that explains it." Depends if your thick skinned, or really want to swim.

All WDW pools are HEATED only trouble getting to and from your room late at nite. Especially pools that are open to lakes etc.. . CR, GF new pool, cause of wind. If there is a large open area near pool it will be much colder.

It really depends. We were down in early March 3 years ago and had a heat wave. It was close to 90 every day and we were very thankful to have that pool. That being said you could also hit a cooler time when it's in the 70's. I think either way you'd be fine in the middle of the day to swim.
