Are pins allowed to be carried on a flight?

We leave in 10 days!

I think my daughter has always packed her pin book in her checked luggage. This trip, we are arriving early and heading straight to MK (after checking in at POR, of course). Can she bring her pin book in her carry-on bag? I'm no up-to-date with all the TSA carry-one rules.

Yes. In fact, don't let her put them in her checked luggage. You don't want them to "vanish" because someone saw them and liked them.

Thank you! I thought it would be okay, but with the TSA rules that seem to change every year, I wasn't sure. In fact, thinking about it more... I am sure she has always brought them in her checked bag.

They allow knitting needles, pins are fine.
