Are passes tracked by day or by 24 hour period?

For example, if I have a 3 day park hopper pass, can it only physically be used in one day (say MK park open-park close) or can this pass be used anytime in a 24 hour period? I use the pass on Thursday night and it's scanned at 5pm. Then I use the pass again on Friday and Saturday. Can I use the pass yet again on Sunday since technically I didn't start using the pass until 5pm on the previous Thursday? So the 3 day pass would be used Thursday night to Friday night, Friday night to Saturday night and Sunday until 5pm. That would technically be 3 days.

Sorry if this sounds confusing!

Thanks in advance.

They are tracked by calendar/operating day.

If you use the pass on Thursday, it will count as day 1. Friday will be day 2. Saturday is day 3. If you want to enter Sunday, you will need to add a 4th day.

No. Thursday counts as a day. Each day is a day off the ticket, it is NOT a 24 hour period.

If you use the pass Thursday evening you will only be able to use it again on Friday and Saturday. There is no way for them to enforce people to leave the park at different times based on when they first arrived and entered the park. In other words if they let you come in on Sunday how would they make you leave or not be able to use anything in the park after 5pm. It sounds like you are coming in Thursday later in the day and leaving on Sunday. Your best bet may be to visit other areas...either resorts or DTD when you arrive or go to the pool. You can then visit one of the MK resorts and watch the fireworks and the electric water pageant. This way you do not feel like you are wasting a day there. Or you can spend you last day visiting resorts or DTD.

Yep operating day, If you enter August 10 and MK is open until 2 AM August 11 then your day's admission is good for that amount of time because that is still the same operating day. It is not good the next operating day (9 AM August 11).

So if your 3 day pass shows park entry Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you will not be able to use it on the Sunday operating day, no matter how late you entered the park on any of the previous days.

If you want to be more confused a "day" may not be 24 hours. If the first park opens at 7am and the last park closes at 3 am that is a "day". This becomes important if you check out on a day that has a really late EMH. Even though you may be out of tickets, you can stay till 3am on yesterday's ticket since it is still part of the "day." So if you are checking out sunday and MK is open till 3am monday morning with EMH, you can stay at MK till 3am even though you don't have a ticket for monday.
