WOWOW!

What are the FL ones for/to? Not work, right?

Well at least cats won't eat 4 cups of food a day (per car). At least I hope LOL

And you can leave them overnight without boarding... Lucky!

Well with the number of cats we have I go through six cans of Friskies and between 2-4 cans of Fancy Feast a day. I don't keep track of the crunchies. I just buy them when the buckets get low.

But anyways I meant the insurance on the cats was probably cheaper :)

We don't even bother, they don't cover enough to make it worth it.

OMG! Alison - As you're posting, I'll assume that you're all well and that the equipment is safe. Hope the concert went well.

I was parked at my friend's house. We bought his set of four Timpani and were loading them on the truck. I'm guessing that somehow we over worked the lift on the truck and it already had faulty wiring. We just got all of them loaded when the fire started.

Oh my gosh I'm glad you and your equipment (but most importantly YOU!!) were safe!! That's so scary! I'm glad it ended up ok!

I was so scared as the fire started, granted we got it out while it was still very small, but I was envisioning all that equipment going up in flames. At replacement value it could have been close to $100,000. Fran buys all the stuff on great sales on eBay, but if we had to replace it new it would cost a fortune. She has been amassing this stuff over the past 10-12 years.

Oh, Alison! That sounds like a nightmare :(

::yes:: it was. I am still trying to recover.

Alison, hugs to you and Fran...

Thank you. :grouphug:

On a random side note. I just did a 6k in the 90 degree weather. But I got free food water and beer so it was worth it!

Awesome! I wish I were that in shape, or could even run at all.

Oh geez I am already starting to plan vacays for 2015! It's a sickness...

I've got my tentative plans for 2016. We have already decided on where we are going in 2015, just no firm dates or bookings since DVC doesn't book that far in advance.

OMG!! Thank goodness you weren't on the road when that happened. And thank goodness everyone is safe and the equipment wasn't damaged!!

For those of you on Facebook, you may have seen what I did over the weekend :) My DD and I went on the D23 tour of the Walt Disney Studios and Archives. It was a very cool tour (even in 96 degree heat, LOL).
I booked the tour for my DD, since she really wants to be an animator. I thought she would enjoy seeing the actual studios. But I think the best part was the archives and seeing all the Disney history in one room. That included the opening day ticket and parking pass (which Dave Smith said was more rare than the ticket) and the very first ticket sold to the general public, which was purchased by Roy O. Disney. We both got to hold one of Walt Disney's Academy Awards. I have never seen an Oscar statue up close, much less held one before :worship:

And of course no visit to a Disney Property is complete without a visit to the store (studio store, in this case). We came home with quite a few new pins and t-shirts, as well as an art book that DD have Dave Smith sign.

I was very glad that I was parked at my friends house. I have been there, done than when I was driving up I-5 in the middle of nowhere and people started honking at me that my car was on fire! :scared1:

That's awesome about the D23 tour. We did one as part of the Destination-D last summer and I got to hold the Oscar and take my picture too! Very cool. I'm reading a TR from a guy who did the one in the first weekend of May. Sounds like Dave broke out a lot of the same stuff for yours as he did for ours and my friend's TR. I think I need to book another one of those because you guys got to see a lot of places that we didn't get to on ours.

 Busy period at work coming up. I may be doing fly-by checkings until the end of June. So I'll apologise for missing stuff and single line smilies now.

Ugh today is not starting out well. I realized some of my keys fell off my keychain. The ones that seem to be missing are my desk key at work (but it wasn't locked), and 2 keys for things around out apartment complex (which have ridiculous fees if not returned). UGH!

Aww I'm sorry. First dog I had to walk today for work got very sick on their rug right before I got to their house. I got to clean up today instead of playing with her. I felt bad. Only highlight of my day was applying for a job that sounds right up my alley!

I hope you find your keys though! I lost"my dorm key senior year of college due to a miscommunication. (Cleaning people took it after I'd moved out... Long story) and was charged 50 bucks! :faint: but we figured out what happened and it was taken off but man was that high for one lost key I could've replaced for like 5 bucks at Home Depot!

What is the new job?

Thanks - I hope I find them. There are 2 from the apartment place and I think the fee is like 50-75 each :/

They aren't even door keys

Admin assistant for a department at a local university. I really hope I get it. It would be AMAZING. I'm qualified and everything haha.

haha yeah but does the DIS still support me if I do non Disney vacations?

We really can't do Alaska in 2014 tho! We booked the Southern Caribbean DCL in October and we have our Cow suite in January. And I did promise friends I'd come to London so need to fit that in somehow too! Eeks!

I think I have sold myself on the new NCL Getaway in early 2015 tho! It looks SOOO fun!

Well of course the DIS still works. Thanks to the DIS, I know what you mean by the Cow Suite :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Oh, the Getaway looks cool...

Oh no...sorry about the missing keys. I hope that you can find them.

Belle - best of luck on the job interview!!! :goodvibes

I hope they offer it next year again too. My DS would have enjoyed it but I am the only D23 member in our family and I could only take one guest (so that is why DD got it as a birthday gift. That and because she wants to become an animator). :goodvibes

morning everyone.... I have a dentist appt, today so I am working from home... Bad part is I have three different meetings that I have dial into.... Ughh.
