Are "mini pins" tradable?

My wife and I were looking to do Pin Trading on this upcoming trip, solely for fun. Since the Disney Store has the 25% off right now, I was looking at their starter sets and noticed that they have a couple of "mini" sets that include 7 pins, as opposed to 4 on the full size sets.

My question is, are the Mini pins ok for trade? I guess it seems weird to me that I could walk up to a cast member and trade a small pin for a regular full size one. Is that a no-no?

Absolutely fine and I love mini pins, they are one of my favorite things to collect.
