it's been 20 years since I've been served an actual meal on a domestic flight.
bring snacks and drinks. I usually pack a more substantial meal (sandwiches/fruit) to eat after we get through security before we board, and then snacks/drinks for the plane. we look like hillbillies but I don't care. being hungry makes the motion sickness worse for DD#2 and myself, and i don't want to be buying $5 airport hotdogs.
DH and I just got back from Vegas on Allegiant. there was nothing free - $2 for a can of Pepsi, $5 for a beer, and snacks were $2 and up also. I think I've seen airline food of the future...
