Are lockers usually available?

After all these decades at DL, I've never used a locker AND I'm going Thanksgiving week. Will lockers be available in the morning? How much is the smallest one and approx. how big (or small) is that? Are the only lockers in the Esplanade?

There are lockers in each park. They will be available in the morning. I believe they are $7 for small, $10 for medium, and $13 for large. The large definitely run out the quickest. I've never not seen the standard (small) ones available. Not sure on the measurements for each. The small one is pretty small but always fits my needs of extra sweatshirts, drinks, snacks, and purchases.

They are next to the fruit cart, right hand side if you are facing the castle. Right after Starbucks. You go down a little side are, and then into the locker area. It is pretty clearly marked when you turn to go down the side area (locker area well marked, notbwhere to turn for lockers).

Ahha, yes! Thank you both so much! I don't have time to hunt around that morning, we have a group picture scheduled and carrying stuff all day will make me nuts!

Normally by around 10am there wont be any extra large lockers left, not sure how big of a locker you need.. Food for thought

I have never had a problem getting a locker even when arriving in the afternoon, but I have only used the ones in the esplanade and in DCA. The small lockers will fit a standard-sized backpack and additional jackets or store bags. They are quite deep so you can stuff a lot in there.

Personally, we use a regular locker, and can fit a ton in there. But, we're not backpack people. So, sweatshirts for 3 people, 9 water bottles, 3 pairs of shoes, a wristlet (large wallet), and whatever purchases we have made, and there's still more room.

As to when getting a locker is very important early in the day are the special events, such as the July the 4th weekend, and Christmas-New Years Eve week, when the park are expecting "capacity" crowds, where if you leave the park, you can't reenter until enough other people leave.

So that is usually the Main Street Lockers at Disneyland when there are special parades and Fireworks shows will bring in lots of locals who will just hang out and wait for the special event to happen.

I would also be careful on Candlelight Processional weekend.

We have never had an issue renting a locker either.
