Are Lanyards the best way to carry your tickets?

I have that baggallini too, and it's really good. BUT I found that it was only truly comfy if I had the straps hauled up as small as they could get, so it wasn't pulling on my back and shoulders. Once I did that, I was comfy, but didn't notice until I took a shower and the hot water hit my arm...I got a HUGE scrape from my arm hitting the velcro on the side pocket. Next time I put the bag on and walked normally, scritch scritch there was my arm hitting that velcro. OUCH. So beware of that. :headache:

DangerMouse, those containers are so cute. I know that REI sells them and so does mouseshoppe (though they are hard to find on their site b/c they don't have the obvious-to-me words put into the search terms for it, but I think the brand name is Witz). We will get at least one when we finally get ourselves to Orlando.

i thought DL did not replace tickets, even if you had copies of it? or is that changed? if so, i'm gonna copy mine tomorrow.

Would someone that owns the Baggallina be willing to post pictures of the inside of it with perhaps something next to it for a reference to size? I've just been searching the net and all I can find is the front facing picture. I am really surprized there isn't any other views of it. :confused3

We have the plastic box type holders. They work really well. You can store money, tickets, room keys, fastpasses etc. They are totally waterproof. We decided we didn't want anything around the neck, so we've taken them off the lanyards and I put mine in my fanny pack, DS and DH put it in their pockets. We did wear them on lanyards for awhile though and that worked well too!!!

Thank you Dahlia! That is exactly what I was looking for. It looks like they are actually bigger than I thought they would be which is good. I was envisioning them being worn on the side for some reason so it is great to see it on the model. Gives a lot better perspective on the size too. Thanks again for the link. I think I might just be getting one of these.

This is what I use to carry my family's entrance media, all the FPs as well as my Disney Visa, id, room key and some cash. . .

Although they don't show it here, it goes around your neck on a lanyard, and has worked great for me for all my DLR trips over the last 5 years.

Where did you get this? I am going on a cruise in October and need something like this for the beach day!

Our kids are trained! As soon as they go through the gate, their tickets (well, and mine too, so I guess I'M trained too!) go right to DH, who puts them into his wallet.

This is our routine as well.

I empty out my wallet of all cards except the 2-3 necessary cards. Leaving 6-7 empty "pouches" in my wallet & lots of room. I use those pouches for our park tickets & our FP tickets (could have 5-6 sets of FPs in there).

Since i haven't lost a wallet in 30+ years, I'm not going to "lose" it now.

I use the Bagallini at WDW and it is awesome. there is a secret pouch on the underside of hte handle where I kept the tickets to keep them from the cell phone. Inside I had enough room for our camera, handwipes, ponchos(for water rides) small umbrella and 2 bottles of water.

In my family I am the Schlepper and get stuck carrying everything so this was great.

Hi - I use a waterproof "beach safe" on a lanyard like the orange one in the picture in the above post. It works great!

I bought mine at a luggage & travel store. But I've seen them in a lot of other stores like AAA Travel, REI, etc. Probably any travel or outdoor store would have them. The one I have is the perfect height and width to fit tickets and fast passes. Mine is about .75 depth wise but they do come wider if you wanted to carry a wallet or more stuff in it. The one I use easily fits my families 4 tickets and a nice stack of fast passes. I wear it and have never had a problem.

The one I have doesn't have a cheap metal clip like most lanyards. it would be pretty difficult to lose it unless you take it off. Look at http://www.rei.com/product/723131for a really good picture of it on a lanyard

Mine is black but I've seen them in a lot of colors including clear. Here's a link to a site that is advertising them for use at Disney - you can see all the different colors here. http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=2574

Best part - it's cheap. I paid less than $10 for it and it's been through many Disney trips and countless trips to Six Flags!

There's a $10 coupon for bagsbuy.com, so if you get a baggallini there, it's only $21.50-ish with free shipping. Coupon code is save10.

Also, I LOVE my baggallini. It's the best bag for Disney trips!

I just want to thank you for posting this. I did a search for info on the Baggallini Messenger bag and found this thread. I just ordered one today! Thanks for the $10 off code!!

I used a LeSportSac tote bag this past June in WDW and my shoulder was hurting from carrying it. Plus it was so large my family would over pack it! Oh let "Mommy hold it!":rotfl: I noticed so many moms with sling style bags, so I figured that has to be the way to go!

I had ordered the Geneva Ameribag from ebags and found it was way too small! I hope I like the Baggallini. I'm not used to a sling/backpack. I'm a totebag gal. :rotfl2:

Oh I have one of those plastic card holders. We actually bought it at the waterpark.

I just wanted to share a story that happened to me this past June at WDW. I was off to the spa (some Mommytime!) and I only brought my cell phone and room key. I had them next to one another in my pocket. Later that evening I went to MK and my pass wouldn't work. It turns out that I demagnatized my room/pass card by it being next to my cell phone. The front desk of the resort told me not to put the card near my cell phone, Ipod, blackberry, etc... I had no idea!! So be careful when your taking the bare necessities to the parks. Don't have them next to one another!

(never been to DL :guilty: )

We need to edit this post to be a Lanyard/Baggallini thread!!! Look at all the wonderful extra tips you get from people on these boards! You guys are great! I just shared the Baggallini advice and link with a friend who is going to WDW soon. She is looking at ordering now too. Baggallini should think about advertising on the DisBoards. :)

Thank you all for the advice also on the Landyards and the waterproof zipper pouches, some great ideas. I imagine this info will be very helpful to a lot of disers.

Hey the Baggalini is such a good idea. I wish I had known about them sooner, I had no idea!

I do carry my tickets and FPs on my lanyard but I no longer keep pins on there because I lost a few of my favorite olders ones on a water ride and had to purchase them again from Ebay! But I have had no trouble with losing passes using a lanyard.
Usually I will wear it in the morning and then stuff it inside my backpack but it's nice because I always know where they are within the bag.

NO!!! from firsthand experience I say no....I had my pass in my pouch on my lanyard and it was hanging around my neck...I was in splash and had gotten off the ride and was all the way down by HM when I looked down and realized the pouch was gone....I went back as fast as I could and the cms looked in every boat but it was gone...I still had 3 days on it and I was going to use it to purchase my AP before I left...well I ended up paying full price for the AP because whoever took it had no intention of turning it in...I never had kept a pass or anything in the pouch before ...I just thought I would try it and look what happened...well lesson learned...never did i do it again

Disneegrl - Since you are not an advocate of the lanyards, what have you found to be the best way for you to carry and conveniently access your tickets? Just trying to get ideas of what works best for different people. Thanks!~
