Are infants included in the max. 5 per room?

We will have 5 plus an infant in our travel party, and I'd like to stay in PPH. We would fit (2 in each bed, plus a Pack in Play), but I didn't know if infants counted as far as maximum occupancy. I'd get another room, but it is almost $3,000 and they won't guarantee connecting rooms. I don't want to pay that much if we're all going to end up spending all of our time in one room anyway.

I believe yes, they do count toward the 5, and even if they didn't, that would be very crowded! If you have 5 PLUS an infant, then you'll have two people per bed, you'll have to fold-out the couch, AND you'll have the pack-and-play. I've stayed in a PPH double room before and you would be quite cramped!

Have you looked into the cheaper Harbor hotels that have suites, like Desert Inn I believe?

Thanks for the info!

I wouldn't mind staying at HoJo but my husband loves, loves, loves the Disney hotels, particularly PPH. I looked into renting DVC points at the grand, too. Lots of options, just trying to get the most bang for the buck!

We've stayed at the DLH with 5 PLUS an infant (he was 1) in a pack n play. We had more than enough room. It'll depend on how you book because the CM on the phone was able to book it, but if you put in the number of people and ages online I don't think it'll let you. Also it'll depend on how knowledgeable the CM on the phone is.

To really set you mind at ease.... Call the hotel directly.

It will be a tight fit for everyone. But if you're like us we are not in our room much.

I hear you about the additional expense if you'd have to get a second room.
We often have 6 people wanting to go in our group and have to limit it to 5.

We have decided to stay on Harbor next time we go with more than 5. I have learned of so many fine places to stay off site thanks to DIS'ers

Enjoy your trip

Infants do not count. At WDW, they don't count until they are 3 (and the moderate and value rooms there are WAY smaller than PPH) Usually it is room occupancy PLUS a crib/pack and play. I would assume it would be the same at DL (since under 3 is free there, too)- but I am sure an infant would not count.

In Anaheim they do count, at least when booking through the Walt Disney Company. I agree with Geemo. Call the hotel directly to see what they say.

Standard rooms sleep 5 (including infants)
For 6 or more you need at least a mini suite (look at BW Park Place Inn) or a suite.

When we were booking and an infant was the 6th person (my brother has 4 boys, youngest is 1yo) WDTC said under 2 didn't count in the room count. This was last August.

This would be good news. Was this a room only reservation or package?
